Drums and Thunder
History Through the Ages, Brought to Life
Explore Revolutionary War and Civil War history through three independent living history units: Francis Marion’s Brigade, Crown & Continental Artillery (Reenacted), and Waccamaw Light Artillery. Each section introduces the history behind a unit’s portrayal, explains what its members do today, and shares the experiences they’ve had bringing history to the public.
Watch original videos that explore the past and follow the units at modern events, demonstrations, and reenactments. Whether you’re here to learn or to see the units in action, Drums and Thunder invites you to discover the stories behind the portrayals and the people keeping that history visible today.
If you’re interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you.
